Sri Lanka Customs has announced that customs declarations at the Long Room will move to a fully paperless process.
With effect from 1 October, submitting digitally signed CUSDECs together with the required supporting documents through the ASYCUDA system will become mandatory.
Manual processing of customs declarations will no longer be accepted under this new procedure.
Importers, exporters, and other parties involved in customs clearance are therefore advised to prepare for the transition and ensure that the required documents are submitted digitally through the ASYCUDA system.
